Void Salvage
Privacy Policy
Short version: Void Salvage is offline-first for gameplay. Progress is saved on your device. We do not require an account. Optional rewarded ads (Google AdMob) and optional tips (Google Play Billing) may process device or purchase-related data under those providers’ policies. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, you can manage ad consent through the in-app consent message.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile game Void Salvage (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information. The App is developed and published as an independent project.
Contact for privacy questions: martsofteng@gmail.com
2. Information we collect
We do not operate our own servers that collect personal profiles for Void Salvage. The App does not require an account or ask you for your name, email address, or phone number.
Specifically, the App does not:
- Require you to create an account or sign in with us
- Collect your name, email address, or phone number for our own database
- Use a separate analytics or crash-reporting service that sends gameplay telemetry to us
- Access your contacts, photos, microphone, or precise location
When you use optional ads or purchases, third-party platforms may process limited technical and commercial data as described in sections 6 and 7.
3. Data stored on your device
The App stores game progress locally on your device, such as:
- Unlocked ships, contracts, and hangar progression
- Scrap, inventory items, and related run meta
- Settings you choose in the App (for example, audio preferences)
- Ad consent choices stored by Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP), where shown
Game progress stays on your device. Uninstalling the App, clearing app storage, or wiping the device may delete it. We cannot restore local progress from our side because we do not keep a copy on our servers.
4. Internet access
Core gameplay is designed to work offline. You do not need a network connection to play contracts or save local progress.
A network connection is used when you:
- Watch an optional rewarded advertisement
- Complete an optional tip / in-app purchase through Google Play
- Download or update the App from the store
Installation, updates, and license checks are handled by the platform (for example Google Play), not by Void Salvage servers.
5. Children
The App is a general-audience arcade game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for our own use. Advertising and purchase platforms may apply their own age and consent rules. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately through a third-party service used by the App, contact us and we will help where we reasonably can.
6. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App may show optional rewarded advertisements through Google AdMob (and Google’s advertising partners). Ads are not required to play the core game; they unlock optional bonuses when you choose to watch them.
To deliver, measure, and (where allowed) personalize ads, AdMob and its partners may process information such as:
- Advertising ID / device identifiers
- IP address and approximate location derived from network data
- Device and app technical information
- Ad interaction and performance data
That processing is governed by Google’s policies, including the Google Privacy Policy and AdMob help on data and privacy.
In the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to show a consent message before personalized ads are requested, where required. You can consent, manage options, or choose not to consent. You can change your choice later where the platform provides a way to revisit consent.
On Android, the App may use the advertising ID for advertising purposes as disclosed in Google Play’s Data safety form for this App.
7. Optional tips and in-app purchases
The App may offer optional tip / support purchases processed by Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store your full payment card details. Google processes payment information under Google’s policies.
Purchase confirmation data needed to grant the tip reward in the App is handled through the Play Billing flow on your device. See Google’s Payments privacy notice and the Google Privacy Policy.
8. Other third-party services
Beyond AdMob and Google Play Billing described above, the current build does not integrate separate third-party analytics or cloud save providers operated by us.
Distribution platforms (such as Google Play) have their own privacy practices when you download or update the App. Those practices are governed by the platform’s policies, not this document.
9. Your choices
- You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.
- You can clear local App data through your device settings.
- You can skip rewarded ads; they are optional.
- Where shown, you can use the consent message to manage ad preferences (Consent, Manage options, or Do not consent).
- On Android, you can reset or limit the advertising ID in system settings.
- Because we do not hold personal profiles on our servers, there is no account for us to export or delete remotely. For data held by Google (ads or payments), use Google’s tools and policies, or contact us and we will point you in the right direction.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
